Always use the PSEG logo according to these guidelines on packaging, collateral materials, documentation, digital and print communications, and advertising.

01

Components of the logo

The PSEG logo is composed of two parts: a symbol that is affectionately known as the Energy Burst and a wordmark.

Energy Burst

The Energy Burst symbol evokes the optimism and passion that we bring to the job every day.

PSEG wordmark

The wordmark displays our corporate initials in bold, capital letters that feel sturdy and established.

These two parts work together as one and are not to be altered or separated under any circumstances. Alterations to the logo negatively affect our brand and can potentially lead to additional fees or legal action. And no one enjoys legal action.

02

Configuration

To ensure consistency and readability, the horizontal logo is the primary version. In this configuration, the Energy Burst may only be positioned to the left of the wordmark. The proportions of the symbol and wordmark should remain consistent, so always use approved reproduction art.

Stacked logo

The secondary version of the logo is referred to as the “stacked” version. This stacked version should be considered for limited use, primarily reserved for workwear and other specialty use cases where the main horizontal logo does not fit.

There is no third version of the logo, or a version with the burst on its own. Please do not attempt to create one at home.

03

Safe zone

We all need our space sometimes. Logos are no different. They need “clear space”—an area surrounding the logo in which text or graphic elements may not intrude. Ideally, the logo should be staged with as much clear space as possible to ensure proper framing of the signature and to protect its integrity. Noted below are minimum clearance guidelines.

Clear space

The clear space is equal to 50% of the diameter of the Energy Burst circle.

Print minimum size

Minimum size is 0.25 inches in height for the horizontal logo and 0.75 inches in height for the stacked version.

Digital minimum size

Minimum size is 50 pixels in height for the horizontal logo and 145 pixels in height for the stacked version. For the best legibility, display the logo at a larger size whenever possible.

Medium Steel Gray

Platinum Gray

Use this logo only on darker image backgrounds.

Use full-color logo on images that allow it to stand out.

04

Color options

Our full-color logo features two primary colors from our scheme, PSEG Orange and Dark Steel Gray. The logo can be used over White, Platinum Gray, or Medium Steel Gray. The white reverse logo is for use on dark backgrounds when legibility might be an issue.

Do not use the full-color logo against any other color backgrounds.

When using the logo against a photo, please choose the color that stands out best.

05

Color versions

Different scenarios require use of different color variations of our logo. Our main logo is a color positive version that is used in most communications over white backgrounds. The reverse logo is the preferred version to use over dark backgrounds.

The white reverse logo is for use on dark backgrounds when legibility might be an issue, such as over photographs or when reproduced at a smaller scale. The black and grayscale logos are reserved for scenarios where color printing is not available.

06

Things to avoid

AKA “The Don’ts.” It may seem like an overly long list, but you’d be surprised by what people try to get away with. So don’t make us call the logo police. Just remember, the cost of repairing your brand identity is higher than doing it right in the first place.

07

Brand extensions

In situations that require co-branding, such as special programs, partnerships, or distinct service areas, follow this simple logo lockup rule. As with the regular logo, always keep clear space on all sides. Do not use this lockup with any taglines below it.

The font on the lockup is Proxima Nova with letter spacing of 275pt.
